Essential Reading

Taking Charge of Your Fertility is the one book everyone should have for learning the basics of fertility and how your body works.

Body Belief, written by Aimee Raupp, provides guidance on the Autoimmune Protocol Diet (AIP).  Most important is all the data she presents up front about autoimmune conditions.  We support reading this given our personal experience on autoimmune conditions and their impact on fertility.

The Infertility Cure is written by Randine Lewis, who trained as an OB/GYN and in Chinese Medicine. It offers incredible perspective on Eastern and Western Medicine practices for fertility. We recommend going to an acupuncturist specializing in infertility, but this book will provide you the necessary background.

The Doctor Will See you Now, is written by Dr. Tamer Seckin.  He is the founder of the Endometriosis Foundation of America and is an expert in endometriosis.  He decided to write this book to help patients and doctors, even, to better understand the disease. As noted during the 10th Annual Endometriosis Foundation of America's conference, few understand endometriosis and as a result of misdiagnose or incorrectly treat patients.

Period Repair Manual, written by Lara Briden, a naturopathic doctor with more than twenty years experience, is a compilation of everything that works for hormonal health.  It guides toward better periods using natural treatments such as diet, nutritional supplements, herbal medicine, and natural hormones. It contains advice and tips for women of every age and situation.  Topics covered include how to come off hormonal birth control, what your period should be like, what can go wrong, how to talk to your doctor, and treatment protocols for all common period problems, including PCOS and endometriosis.
