HOW FEMPOWER HEALTH GOT STARTED
The Story
Who could have imagined that rediscovering a paper I wrote back in 1992—about the FDA’s mandate to include women in clinical trials—would ignite a lifelong commitment to transforming women’s health?
Over the next two decades, I built a career at the intersection of healthcare strategy, innovation, and patient engagement. My journey became deeply personal when I faced infertility and was ultimately diagnosed with endometriosis—after seeing ten different doctors. That experience revealed what data alone could not: how systemic gaps, stigma, and lack of information profoundly shape women’s care.
Through years of research and collaboration with leading clinicians, scientists, and advocates, I realized that the barriers women face are not inevitable—they’re structural, and they can be changed.
That realization led to the creation of Fempower Health in 2020: a platform designed to connect credible science, expert voices, and the patient perspective. What began as a podcast has evolved into a broader initiative—advancing women’s health through evidence, strategy, and collaboration.

Yes, I am a mom and have consulted for and worked in the healthcare industry my entire career. There are a few fun things about me, too!

I owned Georgie Girl Confections when I was between jobs in 2011, and my father said my Hungarian nut roll was better than my grandmother’s!

I’ve bungee jumped and gone skydiving - now that I’m a mom, never again!
